About Lido Cabaret
While not the oldest cabaret in Paris, the Lido is arguably the finest. Located on the historic Champs Elysees, the Lido theatre can lay claim to a history of famous performers. Among them are Edith Piaf, Maurice Chevalier, and Marlene Dietrich, just to name a few.
Since its inception in 1946, the Lido shows, running almost two hours, always open with a dance number from the in-house “Bluebell Girls”. You can thank the Lido for innovating the idea of the tall lean showgirls of today: they hired the first girls who topped 6’, even without their heels.
Drinks and dinner are served between numbers, be they acrobatics, juggling, updated vaudeville style sketches, and even an ice show!
The show’s costumes feature over 2 million crystal beads and a collective 440 pounds of feathers. The famed cabaret venue serves over 300,000 bottles of champagne per year to over a half-million customers. It takes a team of 35 cooks and pastry chefs to deliver Chef Phillip Lacroix’s superior cuisine each night.
Dress Code: Casually elegant dress is requested. Please try and avoid jeans.
