Giverny Bike Tour Itinerary
In the morning you will meet your guide at the Gare St. Lazare train station for a short ride to city of Vernon. Leave the Paris traffic behind as you speed toward Normandy and the countryside that inspired Claude Monet for the last 43 years of his long life.
Upon arrival you’ll be fitted with a bike and helmet and begin your touring day headed toward Giverny and Monet’s house and garden.
You’ll see the following attractions along the way:
- The town of Vernon
- Le Chateau des Tourelles ruins (history of Phillippe II fight against Richard the Lion Hearted)
- The old Mill at Vernon
- Les Coteaux de la Seine (biking along the banks)
- Giverny village
- Monet’s house and gardens (entrance ticket included)
- Monet’s gravesite
- Artist visit
Your train back to Paris leaves at about 5:00 p.m., well in time to enjoy a full evening in the city of light.
