Pedal Through Paradise in Saint-Émilion
Join our e-bike wine tour and explore the famed Saint-Émilion region by electric bicycle. In just 15 kilometers of scenic riding through rolling vineyards, you’ll visit prestigious châteaux and taste the distinct wines of this celebrated area. It’s our most active wine tour, designed for wine lovers who want to experience Bordeaux’s countryside at a slower pace.
E-Bike Wine Tour Saint-Émilion Itinerary
Begin your day meeting your guide at the Monument aux Girondins in central Bordeaux. After a brief e-bike orientation and safety briefing, you’ll transfer to the vineyard countryside where your cycling adventure begins. Pedal through 15 kilometers of stunning vineyard landscapes, stopping first at a family-run estate for your initial tasting and wine education session.

Continue your ride to a prestigious Grand Cru Classé château, where you’ll enjoy a substantial cold lunch paired with estate wines in an idyllic château setting. After lunch, cycle through more scenic vineyards before visiting another Classified Growth property for an in-depth tasting experience, accompanied by small bites. The afternoon includes a guided walking tour of Saint-Émilion’s medieval village, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1999. Your guide will transfer you back to Bordeaux by 6:00 PM, leaving time for an evening dinner in the city or the high speed rail back to Paris.

Stay Longer in Bordeaux
Typically, you leave Paris around 7:00 a.m. and the return train leaves around 6:00 p.m. Prefer more time? We can schedule a later train so you can enjoy dinner or additional sightseeing in Bordeaux. Or, consider our Bordeaux Overnight trip for an extended stay.
How does the e-bike wine tour differ from your traditional Bordeaux wine tour?
The e-bike tour offers an active, immersive way to experience Saint-Émilion’s wine country. While our traditional tour focuses on château visits via minivan, the e-bike tour lets you pedal through the actual vineyards, feeling the terroir beneath your wheels. You’ll cover 15km (around 7 miles total for the day) at a relaxed pace, stopping at both family estates and Grand Cru Classé properties. The e-bikes make hills effortless, so fitness level isn’t a concern. Both tours visit prestigious châteaux and include expert tastings, but the e-bike tour adds adventure and fresh air to your wine education. Rain gear will be provided if necessary,
What’s the e-biking experience like for beginners?
Don’t worry—these aren’t regular bikes! Our electric bikes do most of the work for you, making the 15km route enjoyable for all fitness levels. The motor assists your pedaling, especially on hills. We provide a thorough orientation before starting, helmets for safety, and our guide sets a comfortable pace with plenty of stops. The route follows quiet countryside roads and vineyard paths with minimal traffic.
Many participants haven’t been on a bike in years and still do wonderfully. The e-bike assistance means you’ll arrive at each château refreshed, not exhausted—ready to fully enjoy the wine tastings!
