Itinerary: Chambord, Chenonceau & Wine Cave
Begin your day with a high-speed TGV ride from Paris to the city of Tours—just over an hour’s journey. Your guide will meet you at the nearby tourist office, ready to showcase the Loire Valley’s finest châteaux and wines.

Château de Chenonceau
Dating back to the early 16th century, Chenonceau is widely known for its graceful arches spanning the River Cher. Explore its historic halls, manicured gardens, and discover how it served as both a wartime hospital (WWI) and a vital escape route during WWII. Considered the second most-visited château in France after Versailles, Chenonceau enchants with its blend of Gothic and Renaissance elements.

Wine Tasting at Caves Ambacia
After Chenonceau, head underground to Caves Ambacia, where you’ll learn about the region’s winemaking traditions. Sample Vouvray, Sancerre, and other Loire wines, guided by a knowledgeable sommelier. Enjoy up to five distinct tastes plus a glass of vintage Vouvray. If you wish, dine at the on-site restaurant or choose a local bistro in nearby Amboise (not included).

Château de Chambord
After lunch, continue to Chambord—the largest and grandest of the Loire châteaux, built under King François I. Famed for its double-spiral staircases (possibly inspired by Leonardo da Vinci), Chambord was meant as a lavish hunting lodge. With space for 1,200 horses in the stables and a 13,000-acre game preserve, it remains an awe-inspiring symbol of French Renaissance splendor.

Return to Tours for your early evening train back to Paris, arriving in time to enjoy a late dinner in the Montparnasse district or wherever your night takes you.
