Let’s Ride

It’s been said that Paris is a collection of villages that became a city. Very nice villages, we’d have to say. Experience a local’s Paris by visiting with a guide, out in the air, never stuck in traffic. E-bikes let you pedal or coast, enjoying your touring without worrying about keeping up. It’s vacation, not the Tour de France!

Paris is a photographer’s paradise, a history buffs’ dream and a gourmand’s delight. Join us on one of three well-planned itineraries, or choose all three over several days. We don’t mind.

Three Great Paris Bike Itineraries

  1. Monuments: Starting from the almost-rebuilt Notre Dame cathedral, you will wind by the Pantheon and the Luxembourg Gardens. Then it’s on to Invalides which holds the emperor Napoleon’s stunning Tomb. We can’t miss the Eiffel Tower and seeing it from a great spot: Trocadero square. After circling the Arc de Triomphe you will ride the “most beautiful avenue in the world” (the Champs Elysees, of course) all the way to the Place de la Concorde. The pleasant journey back will be along quiet, off-the-beaten-track side streets.
  2. Hollywood: Everybody loves Paris, especially Hollywood! You’ll see Notre Dame, where the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Quasimodo, pined for his Esmerelda. Then it’s on to the steps where Gil, in “Midnight in Paris” did his magic time travel to beautiful bygone times. Finally, you’ll ride around the Pantheon and see the facade of Emily’s apartment, of “Emily in Paris”. And of course you will see Gabriel’s restaurant. There will be a few more surprises and plenty of photo ops.
  3. Market Tour: Experience the sights, sounds and smells of a Paris market. Shop like a local. Depending on time of year, and day of the week, you will see markets on the Right Bank, such as in the Pompidou district, the Marais, Les Halles, or on the Left Bank, in the Latin Quarter and Ile Saint Louis, A stop for a croissant or pastry is planned during the journey. While you will have a snack or two, you will have room for lunch or dinner after the ride. The guide’s bike pannier will stow whatever you can’t resist buying.

Why we love seeing Paris out of a vehicle. You can’t truly see and feel a city from a car or bus. We love a good walk, but a bike covers a lot more. Don’t be surprised by the friendly nods you get from Parisians – John
