Epernay Champagne Bike Tour Highlights

From Gare d’Est in Paris, it’s off to the Champagne region.

Upon arrival Reims via high speed rail, you will embark via van on a lovely drive to Epernay. Your guide will discuss the story of champagne as you make your way to this historic town. You’ll be fitted with your e-bike and helmet in Epernay town center. Off for a well-paced amble, bound for the picturesque village of Hautvillers, where Dom Perignon, father of champagne, is buried at the former Benedictine Abbey.

This pleasant ride will ultimately finish at Le Clos Corbier family cellars. There, you will enjoy 4 champagne tastings and a generous traditional lunch with champagne pairings.

Over lunch, you’ll learn more about the champagne making process, the main terroirs of the region and the development of the major champagne varieties. You will be returned via van to Reims, timed for the 5 p.m. train to Paris. Some clients stay on for an early dinner and take a later train back. We’ll book the train to your preference. The early evening train back to Paris completes the day.

Epernay Champagne Day Tour FAQ’s

Your train leaves Paris at approximately 7:45 a.m. We will confirm exact rail times upon booking. The tour meets at 9:00 a.m. at the Tourist Office of Reims right near the TGV train station.

Your return train to Paris departs the Champagne region around 5:30 p.m.

All of our tours are small group only tours with a maximum of 8 persons per vehicle.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Due to the small group aspect of all of our tours, our cancellation policy is as follows. More than 7 days before tour date – 100% refundable; from 7 to 3 days before tour date – 50% refundable; less than 3 days – non-refundable. If cancelling please contact us as soon as possible to insure we can credit you properly.
