Full Taittinger and Moët Day Tour from Paris Itinerary

Boarding your train at Gare d’Est in Paris, you’ll be bound for the Champagne region, where Dom Perignon, father of the house of Moët & Chandon, started it all.  Upon arrival in the city of Reims, you’ll start the day with a quick look at the Reims Cathedral, where all but two French kings were crowned.

Your next stop is at Taittinger for a tour and champagne tasting in their beautiful chalk stone cellars. Taittinger is one of the last remaining houses owned and run by the family. You’ll see part of their vineyards, historically protected, with both the remains of an abbey and a 4th century Roman ruin. Simply stunning.

Now, it is time for your lunch break. You can choose from a variety of spots (cost not included.) there is an option for a Dom Perignon tasting lunch. Ask us about that!

Next, you’ll travel to the historic Marne Valley and the former Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers, where Dom Perignon is buried.  You will then finish with a tour and tasting at the Moet and Chandon cellars.

After the last tasting you’ll take the train back to Paris in perfect time for dinner, or, dare we say, more champagne.
