Veuve Clicquot Champagne Day Tour Itinerary
Meet your guide right outside the Reims train station (we’ll send easy directions once you book). Start with a quick tour of this historic city, then head to Veuve Clicquot’s Grande Maison. Wander through the chalk cellars where Madame Barbe Clicquot Ponsardin once walked, and enjoy a special tasting of four Veuve bottlings—at least two rare cuvées—paired with cheese. It’s a rare chance to try Cave Privee 1990, Vintage Brut 2002, plus Vintage Brut and Rosé 2015… and maybe a little surprise, too.

Next you’ll drive Avenue de Champagne in Epernay followed by a tour of the village of Hautvillers and Dom Perignon’s church. The day just gets better with a champagne quiz, blind tasting workshop and lunch at a family-owned champagne vineyard, Le Clos Corbiers (or equivalent based on season). You’ll also tour the press and vat room for even more tastings. By late afternoon, you’ll head back to Reims in time for the quick evening train to Paris—champagne bottle in hand!

About Veuve Clicquot
Veuve Clicquot is a prestigious Champagne house founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron. It gained international acclaim under Madame Clicquot, known as the “Grande Dame of Champagne,” who revolutionized the industry with innovations like the riddling table to improve clarity and quality. The house’s signature yellow label represents luxury and sophistication.
Famous for its Brut Yellow Label, Veuve Clicquot offers a blend that balances strength and silkiness with notes of peach, vanilla, and brioche. Its vineyards, mainly Grand Cru and Premier Cru, ensure top-quality grapes. Upholding Madame Clicquot’s legacy of innovation and excellence, the brand remains a beloved choice for celebrations worldwide.
Why we love the Champagne region – In the movies, no one drowns their sorrows in Champagne (Richard Pryor in Brewster’s Millions excepted). It is always about celebration. Reims is a happy place to visit and drink to life. The short TGV train ride from Paris makes a Veuve Clicquot tour an easy Paris vacation add-on. – John, LinkParis.com |
