Lavender Day Trip From Paris – Itinerary
Arrive in Avignon from Paris around 10 a.m. and meet your guide for a day packed with Provençal charm. Begin at a local market, browsing fresh produce, artisanal goods, and regional specialties. Continue to Sault—“the Lavender Capital” of France—to explore its quaint streets and fragrant hills.

Next, head to Gordes, perched high in the Luberon and revered as one of France’s most beautiful villages, before visiting the 12th‑century Senanque Abbey, where fields of lavender (known as “blue gold”) surround the historic cloisters.
Return to Avignon by about 5:30 p.m., then catch the evening train back to Paris with the scents and stories of Provence fresh in your mind.
